Chinese Dates, also called Chinese red dates(红枣-hong zao), jujube fruits.

Red dates have high Vitamin A, B1, B2 calcium, iron, protein. It is can boost your immunity, help protect the liver, anti-cancer, antioxidant, anti-aging and more.

Chinese red dates are good for you, especially for ladies, when you are in those special days of the month.

In China, folksay: Three red dates a day, keep you younger forever. So try to eat 3-7 dates everyday.

Fresh red dates contain more Vitamin C than dried dates. It is seasoned fresh fruit, it is around the end of September and beginning of Octorber, and only about 2-3 weeks long. That's why you always found them as dried fruits. So Don't Miss this great fruit.

You can find fresh Chinese red dates in you local Asian grocery stores around September and October. It won't be too long in the market, so get it when you see them.

Fresh Chinese Dates yogurt:


  • About one cup fresh Chinese red dates, wash and clean.

  • 1/2 or 2/3 Cup refrigerated homemade plain yogurt

  • Honey (Option, if you like sweeter taste)


  1. Cut dates into small piecec, so you can take out the seed, keep aside;

  2. Put refrigerated homemade plain yogurt into a bowl;

  3. Add cut dates into yogurt;

  4. Mix them well and enjoy it

  5. If you like sweet taste, add some honey ( I didn't add any sugar or honey, because the dates are so sweet)

    Serves: 1
